Phillip Hayes, Dallas Criminal Defense Attorney

Phillip Hayes is a Board Certified criminal defense attorney working in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Hayes has operated his own criminal defense practice since 2004.

Prior to his work as a defense attorney, Hayes served as a felony and misdemeanor prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney’s office for five years.

Hayes holds a BA from Texas A&M University and a JD from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, having passed the Texas bar exam in 1999.  He has been Board Certified in Criminal law since 2010 and has obtained the prestigious AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

As a criminal defense attorney, Hayes has participated directly in hundreds of trials, with a success rate of over 95% in trials before a jury. Hayes has represented many clients in reputation-sensitive fields such as doctors, police, and other lawyers. He has received accolades from D Magazine, and has repeatedly been named a “Rising Star” by the Super Lawyers directory.

Hayes is not only an active member of the Texas and Dallas Bar Associations, but is also a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, as well as the Criminal Defense Lawyers Associations for Dallas, Tarrant, and Kaufman Counties. 

Phillip has been married to amazing wife for 15 years and they have four incredible children.
