Phillip Hayes

Welcome to my website! I am Phillip Hayes.

I grew up in Texas, and attended both Texas A&M University and SMU’s Dedmon College of Law before settling permanently in Dallas with my family.

Early in my career I worked in the Office of the Dallas County District Attorney where I handled both felonies and misdemeanors, helping to prosecute a number of criminals and people who made mistakes.

That experience prepared me for my main calling, which was opening my own practice and helping represent people accused of breaking laws. As a criminal defender, I have worked on some of the most notorious cases in the state, as well as helped kids who broke the law by making immature decisions. I firmly believe that even when someone has done something wrong, they deserve to be treated fairly in court, and I have always worked to provide people with a professional and capable defense.

I live in Dallas with my wife and children, and I enjoy spending quality time with them.

I intend to blog some here on my site to share information on aspects of criminal law in Texas, and how people who are accused should deal with the justice process. I hope that you find something of value here, and that if I say something that is of interest to you or that you find helpful you will drop a comment.
